Duties / Responsibilities of this position: 
  • Adjust processes and troubleshoot settings. 
  • Following the instructions in all the Set- up SOP’s (standard operating procedures). 
  • Maintain machine and equipment in the best condition as possible by:
    • Cleaning and AM-TPM for general upkeep.
    • Interface and contact proper personnel to resolve machine and equipment issues quickly.
  • Assist in inventory as needed to ensure all inventory (packaging, WIP, finished product, and purchased components) are completed in advance to avoid stock depletion.
  • Participate in meetings, continuous improvement, and team activities.
  • Must be flexible to cover other shifts as needed.
  • Perform other specific projects as assigned by Group Leader.
  • Discontinue any operation or activity which is unsafe.      Request and/or work with the appropriate personnel to resolve the issue immediately.
  • Request proper training to fulfill job requirements.
  • Follow process instructions for Laminator Program Change.

 

Job Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Manufacturing machine setup experience – 1-2 years. 
  • Ability to drive a hi-lo
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to troubleshoot processes 
  • Machine set-up standards
  • PRS training
  • Computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Oracle experience preferred 
  • Ability to cross train in multiple areas of the facility

Physical Demands Analysis: 

  • Frequent lifting or lowering an object from one level to another up to 55 lbs  
  • Frequent transporting/carrying an object by hands up to 55 lbs 
  • Occasional pushing or pulling by hands up to 55 lbs    
  • Occasional reaching above/below shoulder and forward 
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and crouching   
  • Frequent standing or walking for long periods of time 
  • Occasional pinching and picking using fingers of both hands 
  • Occasional work in confined spaces
  • Occasional gripping of both hands
  • Must be able to wear the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety shoes, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, hearing protection, and other PPEs required by customers – occasional to continuous (safety glasses)
